Steamed White Glutinous Rice Served With Durian/Mango
White Glutinous RiceĀ 3 dl
Thick coconut milkĀ 4 dl
Salt to taste
Wash glutinous rice a few time and soak in water overnight. Strain away the water and transfer the rice into a tray. Place tray into a steamer and steam for about 30 minutes. Season coconut milk with salt. After 30 minutes, remove the tray of rice from steamer then mix in half the coconut milk thoroughly. Transfer tray back into the steamer and continue to steam for about another 20 minutes.
Serve glutinous rice with a few spoon of coconut milk and durian or mango.
NOTE: I usually like it a bit sweeter so I add a tbsp of sugar with my pulut and durian.
