Best Char Koay Kak – video

These sisters have been working with their father since they were 12 to 14 years old. I was living next door with my granny to the place they had their food stall in the 60′s. After so many years have passed, old buildings replaced by new, they are still at the very same place selling Koi Kak, and are still are as good as during their father’s time. With recipe handed down by their father, nothing much has change maybe prices but it is still considered very cheap, from RM2.20 – RM3.20.
Some hawkers might try to improvise Char Koi Kak by adding seafood but I think Char Koi Kak should be plain same old pan fried radish cake with or without egg. That is how I prefer mine to be.
