Nasi Padang

Nasi Padang

This place was recommended by a friend by the nickname ‘Arab’, so I decided to check it out.
I visited Restoran Nasi Padang Minang which is located in Transfer Road. The place was crowded with customers, table sharing during lunch. There are array of dishes display with inviting selections of ulams, fish, meat and vegetables all prepared the traditional Sumatran way that offer a big range of flavors.
Usually when we talk about Minang, we think of Seremban, Minangkabau houses, and their special style of cooking influenced by West Sumatra, Indonesia. Padang cooking is characterized with chillies, turmeric, duan kunyit and lemon grass giving great aroma emphasizing a great deal on the taste and flavours.

Don’t forget to try out their signature dishes of Redang Minang, Ayam Bakar and sweet potato leaves cooked in coconut milk.
Everything look so inviting, how can I to try out more than 40 dishes since I was in Penang for such a short trip. I will sure pay more visits to this place the next time I am in Penang
